Russian military: 'Space troops not yet ready to fight aliens’
In a surprising move, an apparently serious journalist raised this question of extraterrestrial security during a media conference at the Titov Main Test and Space Systems Control Center near Moscow, Russia’s main satellite control center. “So far we are not capable of that. Water 6,700 times more radioactive than legal limit spills from Fukushima
Tokyo Electric Power Company, or TEPCO, said the water which spilled from the storage tanks had radiation readings as high as 200,000 becquerels per liter -- almost 6,700 times higher than the legal limit of 30 becquerels.   

Earthquake hits Sikkim again, tremor felt in Darjeeling
Earthquake measuring 5.0 on Richter Scale hit Sikkim on Thursday, Oct 3. Tremors also were felt in Darjeeling, West Bengal. All schools and colleges have been closed for precaution. India Says Fighting Big Kashmir Incursion From Pakistan Side -- Reuters
(Reuters) - India's military is fighting the biggest group of infiltrators in Kashmir to cross from Pakistan in years, a top general said on Wednesday. Some 30 to 40 heavily-armed fighters have crossed the Line of Control dividing Kashmir between the rival nations in the Keran sector and are holed up for the past nine days in thick forests in the area, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh told a news conference.

NSA: Surveillance court says no upper limit on phone records collection
A U.S. surveillance court has given the National Security Agency no limit on the number of U.S. telephone records it collects in the name of fighting terrorism, the NSA director said Thursday. The NSA intends to collect all U.S. telephone records and put them in a searchable “lock box” in the interest of national security, General Keith Alexander, the NSA’s director, told U.S. senators. 
 
Strange cloud formation grabs Houston's attention as storms roll in

Russian Embassy in Libya comes under fire, attack repelled
Russia's embassy in the Libyan capital of Tripoli came under fire on Wednesday and a group of people tried to force their way into the compound, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. Diplomatic sources in Libya said security guards fired shots to disperse a group of about 60 people that had approached the embassy. An attempt to enter the building was repelled and according to the Foreign Ministry no diplomats were wounded.
