HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE — The first group of unaccompanied minors from different parts of Central America arrived at Holloman Air Force Base early Monday morning. The children come primarily from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.

US and China call for new North Korea UN resolution
China and the US say a new UN resolution against North Korea is needed, following Pyongyang's claim that it had successfully tested a hydrogen bomb earlier this month. US Secretary of State John Kerry, who is in Beijing for talks, called North Korea's nuclear ambitions a "threat to the world" and urged new sanctions. But his counterpart Wang Yi suggested China would not support any sanctions.  
Senegal detains 900 people in security drive
Police in Senegal have detained 900 people as part of a security operation following militant attacks in Burkina Faso and Mali. The detentions, which were not terror-related, took place over the weekend in the capital Dakar and Thies. The assaults on a hotel in Mali and a hotel and restaurant in Burkina Faso, both claimed by Islamists, have raised security fears in the region.

1,700-year-old inscriptions linked to ‘rabbis’ unearthed in Galilee
Three 1,700-year-old funerary inscriptions referring to rabbis written in Aramaic and Greek were recently unearthed in Moshav Zippori, near the Western Galilee, the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) announced on Wednesday. The finding was made following a joint effort carried out by residents of the moshav, researchers from the Kinneret Institute for Galilean Archaeology of the Kinneret Academic College, and the IAA.
