Creator, writer and director Chris Carter tells a real-life tale about the show in its early days that's worthy of the show's catchphrase, "The truth is out there." And for a second, I thought it was going to be the long arm of the law coming in to shut me down."

The Death Knell For ‘Peak Oil’
Hedge funds and private equity groups armed with $60bn of ready cash are poised to snap up the assets of bankrupt US shale drillers, almost guaranteeing that America’s tight oil production will rebound as soon as prices start to recover. Daniel Yergin, founder of IHS Cambridge Energy Research Associates, said it is impossible for OPEC to knock out the US shale industry though a war of attrition even if large numbers of frackers fall by the wayside over coming months.

Life In The Internet Outhouse
I’ll never regret the day I dumped social media down the toilet. There was a brief time, back in the early days of social media, when I had both a Facebook and a Linked-In account. This was long before the revelations of Edward Snowden. This was long before I came to view the Internet as a technology that - more often that not – is highly detrimental to intelligence, attention span, human interaction, basic courtesy and common sense.

ISIS builds stronghold in Libya: Obama and Hillary ignore their handiwork
The very mention of Libya by Democrats only serves to remind many Americans about a chapter in recent history that doesn’t advance the progressives’ plan for America’s future. The U.S.-led overthrow of dictator Muammar Gaddafi, the ensuing chaos, violence and destruction by Islamists, and the tragic terrorist attack at a U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, has created a political firestorm for both President Barack Obama and presidential wannabe Hillary Clinton, Obama’s handpicked Secretary of State.

Campaigns target charitable offering and church tithing
Political spin has done more than enter the realm of defining terms such as charity, church, offering and tithing. It has skewed, sullied and merged the whole concept of each one of these. How? Government intervention for the purpose of raising revenue to sponsor itself and those who leach off of it, from elected officials to bureaucrats and welfare junkies. Picking up the ball, campaign groupies continue to muddle meanings for their own ends.
